Provide education-specific expertise in the development of mentor guidebook for adolescent workplace mentoring. Help support acquisition of donations for public schools.
Capoeira Center of New York/Capoeira Foundation-DanceBrazil June 2006-Present
Serve in an advisory role to help facilitate and support awareness around capoeira arts integration into public school physical education and dance programming. Participate in grant-writing and other initiatives to support capoeira in New York City and surrounding areas. Provide logistical and marketing supporting to national DanceBrazil tours. Executed highly customized Kick-Starter campaign to support bringing back live music to DanceBrazil performances, securing $40,000 dollars in 8-week campaign.
San Francisco State Student Association May 2000-May 2001
Elected as Vice-President of External Affairs by constituency of 28,000 students to lead and support California state student association mandates; explored new rules and regulations imposed on California state college campuses and dealt with day-to-day SFSU student and faculty concerns.
Cuban Educational Project (C.E.P) January 1999-May 2001
Developed and coordinated various fundraisers and giving campaigns to encourage donations of monetary, medical, and education supplies that were transported by San Francisco State University C.E.P students to Havana, Cuba via United States Department of Treasury approved travel guidelines. Helped bring attention and awareness to the blockade between Cuba and the United States on four faculty and student trips from San Francisco, California to Havana, Cuba.
